DeBeque Bridge Ribbon Cutting

June 6th was an exciting day and marked a much anticipated event for the residents of DeBeque. The DeBequeBridge was completed one month early $70,000 under budget. This was a great partnership between the Town of DeBeque, MesaCounty and the State of Colorado- specifically the Dept of Local Affairs. Residents had been inconvenienced for several months while the bridge was constructed, but now that the bridge is complete I think they all would agree that it was worth the wait.

Clifton Community Plan- Governance Discussion
The efforts to revitalize the East end of the Valley continue. The Governance Committee has spent nearly 9 months on a feasibility study to determine whether residents in the area should annex or incorporate. Now the committee wants to share their findings with the residents in the area. There are a series of community meetings planned, and members of the Governance Committee hope to hear back from residents what there preference might be. These meetings will be followed up with a survey of the residents, and all of that information will be considered when deciding what question should go on the ballot next year.
